Company History
Several years ago my son became ill with asthma, and our family pet developed
skin allergies. After a lot of learning about allergies, I realized that the
home we had moved into at the time was the cause. It had several new materials
including paint and carpet. I've learned that these two items are filled with chemicals
that are released into the air after they are installed or applied — commonly
known as off gassing. Living in a chemical mix caused us all to have impaired
immune systems. Basically when we caught a cold, it lasted 2 months, and we
were all sick often.
I was driven to learn more about construction products, "sick
house syndrome,"
and
how
construction processes
directly
relate to health. I calculated the real cost of green
building.
I was surprised to
learn
how
many
products used were simply bad for our health. So I knew that if other people
knew what
I did,
they
would
be
able to make educated decisions about materials used in their home. This reasoning
lead to Aronson Custom Homes.
